-013Crystal Structure of InTi 0.75 Fe 0.25 O 3.375 and Phase Relations in the Pseudobinary System InFeO 3 -In 2 Ti 2 O 7 at 1300 • C.-InTi 0.75 Fe 0.25 O 3.375 is prepared by a quenching technique from In 2 O 3 , TiO 2 , and Fe 2 O 3 (alumina crucible, 1300 • C, 2 d; rapid cooling). As revealed by single crystal XRD, the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/m with Z = 2. The structure is formed by alternate stacking of two layers: one is made of edge-sharing InO 6 octahedra and another consists of bipyramidal Ti/Fe sites. In the bipyramidal layer, a honeycomb lattice, occupied to 68% by oxygen ions, surrounds the metal site.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
