A precision, adiabatic vacuum calorimeter and a differential scanning calorimeter have been used to measure the heat capacity of an ethylene/l-butene block copolymer over the temperature range80-450'K. An estimate has been made of heat capacity values below 80'K. Values of the heat capacity, entropy, enthalpy, and free energy are listed at lO'K intervals. A glass transition (200°K), a transition of unknown origin (33SnK) and a melting transition (400OK) were observed. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG:Die Warmekapazitat eines Athylen/Buten-(1)Xopolymeren wurde zwischen 80 und 450 O K mit Hilfe eines adiabatischen Prazisionsvakuumcalorimeters und eines Differentialkalorimeters gemessen. Fur Temperaturen unterhalb 80°K wurde die Warmekapazitat naherungsweise durch ein Extrapolationsverfahren berechnet. Aus den Messungen wurden die Entropie-, die Enthalpie-und die freien Energiewerte ermittelt; sie werden in Intervallen von 10 Grad angegeben. Ein Einfriervorgang (200°K), eine Umwandlung unbekannten Ursprungs (335 OK) und eine Schmelzumwandlung (400OK) wurden beobachtet.
