Abstract.Reactions of "C recoil atoms with C,H, in the presence of 0, lead to the formation of high yields of labelled C,H,CHO in the gaseous (6%) and liquid (&lo%) phase, whereas none was detected in the solid phase. For the liquid phase, 63% of the "C activity in C,H,CHO is in the -CHO group, while 37% is part of the aromatic ring; in the case of gaseous C,H, with 37% 0,, the amount of "C in the ring is only 11 %. The reactions possibly leading to the formation of ["C]C,H,CHO and the "C distribution over the molecule are discussed.
ChemInform Abstract Reactions of 11C recoil atoms with C6H6 in the presence of O2 lead to the formation of high yields of labeled Ph-CHO in the gaseous (6%) and liquid (8-10%) phase, whereas none is detected in the solid phase. For the liquid phase, 63% of the 11C activity is in the -CHO group, while 37% is part of the aromatic ring; in the case of gaseous C6H6 with 37% O2, the amount of 11C in the ring is only 11%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
