These data support the rationale that detrusor overactivity may be controlled by modulating the afferent input from the bladder and the excitability of the sacral reflex center and suggest a novel method to treat overactive bladder patients.
The OAB-q well correlated with voiding diary and urodynamic data of Parkinson subjects either at baseline or after the antimuscarinic treatment. The study suggests that this clinical tool might be used for neurogenic overactive bladder diagnosis and that it seems to be a useful outcome measure for treatments of neurogenic OAB.
The aim of our study was to evaluate the real utility of the TRIMprob test before TRUS-guided biopsy approach, putting in relation the number of positive tests of the TRIMprob with the number of positive prostate biopsies that were performed successfully. Sensitivity, Specificity, PPV (Positive predicted value), NPV (Negative predicted value) of the TRIMprob test were analyzed with statistical software package for Social Sciences (SPSS Inc, Chicago, Illinois USA).
