Inorganic Chemistry vacuum for 2 hr. The mixture was extracted with ethanol until the ethanol washings became violet. Then it was washed with chloroform until the washings were colorless. The combined chloroform washings were evaporated to dryness to obtain black crystals. These were recrystallized from chloroform.

Die katalytische Hydrierung von CO unter Verwendung des Clusterkatalysators Dodecacarbonyltetrairidium und von geschmolzenem NaCl ′ 2 AlCl3 als Lösungsmittel ergibt bei relativ hoher Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit ein Gemisch von Methan, Äthan, Propan und Isobutan mit einem Hauptanteil an Äthan.
