Pressure-volume-temperature relations have been measured for hydrochloric acid with mole fractions of HCI up to 0.23 at temperatures up to 780 K and pressures up to 150 bar. A simplified Redlich-Kwong equation was fitted to the results and is able to describe the behaviour in the single-(vapour-) phase region fairly well(mostly ± 1%).
