NOMOPHOBIA: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW ABOUT THE MODERNITY DISORDER ABSTRACT The new technologies such as internet and cell phone, have brought many benefits. However, the abusive use of them can lead to addictive behavior found in Nomophobia. The objective is to present the sociodemographic, psychological and environmental aspects related to nomophobia already published in the international literature. We selected papers published between the years of 2014 and 2020. The keywords used were “nomophobia”, “dimensions of nomophobia”, “nomophobia questionnaire”, “mobile phone dependence” and “smartphone addiction”. Only 22 papers were considered relevant, which were arranged in tables. These are exploratorydescriptive research with questionnaires. The psychological characteristics associated were: anxiety, loneliness and cell phone attachment. Socodemographic issues were: age, gender and education. The influence on quality of life and task performance was noticed. Mindfulness was a possible therapeutic approach. The lack of recognition about nomophobia by diagnostic tools for mental disorders and the lack of a specific instrument for diagnostic, corroborate the diversity of questionnaires, impairing the comparability of the materials found. Because it is a Modernity Disorder, it was difficult to find articles about the topic.
