Teaching is research-oriented in accordance with the requirements to develop students’ competencies in Science subject. The appropriate level of research-oriented teaching for primary students is research drilling teaching. Based on the 4-step process of scientific research, the research has built a corresponding process of teaching sex education. In which, the students are put into a problem situation and create an opportunity for all students to actively participate in the lesson by proposing diverse questions and ideas. The lesson plan for “Puberty and puberty hygiene” of the “Humans and health” topic in Science subject 5 has been built and experimented with. The experimental results prove that the initial process and lesson plan have met the requirements of the Science curriculum. This is the basis for gradually forming and developing specific scientific competencies, general competencies and qualities for students in Science subject (2018).
In primary school, the application of STEAM in teaching Science has many advantages because teachers are comprehensively trained in the fields of natural sciences and arts. In fact, the biggest difficulty for primary teachers when applying STEAM education is the source of STEAM education materials that are suitable for topics and how to use learning materials to design teaching activities effectively. Therefore, teaching materials on the topic of Matter, Energy in Science subject 4 were developed, including 09 STEAM products and 09 illustrated lesson plans using STEAM products. The results of a pedagogical test with 30 teachers show that the designed STEAM products are effective and feasible in implementing teaching in practice. The STEAM products with implementation suggestions in illustrated lesson plans will provide rich learning resources, help teachers easily implement in practice, and contribute to realizing the goals of the Science program (2018) in primary school.
Teaching by inquiry – discovery orientation is the process of using teaching methods and techniques, in which teachers organize activities for students to find new knowledge through a system of questions, oriented exercises or testing experiments. This teaching orientation consistent with the requirements teaching which development of students'competencies in natural and social subject 2018. This research desinged a teaching process consisting of 6 specific steps. We applied the teaching process to build and experiment the lesson plan "Secets of plants" (3 periods) of the plant content in Natural and Social subject 1. Experimental results show that the process and lesson plans have adapted to the development of specific scientific competencies of natural and social subjects (2018), including: scientific cognitive competencies, competencies to learn the surrounding natural and social environment and competencies to apply knowledge and skills learned.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
