tamoxifen in younger women (aged 35) in some preventive trials. Information from epidemiological and laboratory studies suggests that the breast tissue is most receptive to carcinogens early in puberty 1516 and antihormonal prevention is most effective nearer the time of the insult.'7 This is why young women are being recruited. Only young women at the highest risk of developing breast cancer, however, are being included in the prevention studies.Carefully monitored adjuvant clinical trials can guide the use of tamoxifen in normal women. The physiological impact of tamoxifen in premenopausal women warrants closer attention; the drug's effects on bone density and lipid concentrations might tip the balance of risks and benefits in its favour.
The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between principal rule administration behavior, hierarchical influence, and teacher loyalty to the principal. An additional intent was to analyze hierarchical influence as a conditioning factor of the principal's rule behavior on teacher loyalty. A significant relationship was found between representative rule behavior of secondary principals and teacher loyalty, and between punishment-centered rule behavior of elementary principals and teacher loyalty. Significant relationships between mock rule and teacher loyalty were not found for either sample. Hierarchical influence was significantly and positively related to teacher loyalty for both samples of principals.
Male graduate students of departments of Educational Administration and Professional Schools are members of an elite group who significantly comprise and control the leadership positions in the United States. Their attitudes toward women will affect the future role of women in professional positions in society. This study tested male attitudes towards women as an indicator of future behavior in the hiring process. Attitudes and overt behavior were found to be related. Until such time as the male students came into direct competition with females for employment, their attitudes towards females were favourable.
