A single dose of oral Dex (0.6 mg/kg) is no worse than 5 days of twice-daily prednisolone (1 mg/kg per dose) in the management of children with mild to moderate asthma.

Deep reflections at a time from about 3 to 5 sec were observed in the course of routine reflection seismic work in southwestern Alberta. These reflections are not multiples but come from within the Precambrian basement at a depth from about 7.5 to 14 km. The nature of the reflecting surface cannot be determined from available data but it is shallower than the depth for the Mohorović and Conrad discontinuities reported from a nearby long refraction profile. Additional similar observations by the geophysical industry could be made at little extra cost and could add to our understanding of the structure of the earth’s crust.
