Abstract-A novel surface plasmon based square-shaped ring resonator with bending metal-dielectricmetal input/output (I/O) waveguide at optical spectral range is investigated. The influence of various geometric parameters is studied in detail, with parallel finite difference time domain method. The results validate that vertical coupling disturbance can be efficiently suppressed by employing the modified I/O structure. The transmittance performance has all the resonant frequencies workable with better extinction ratios, higher finesse and higher Q-factors compared to the original plasmonic micro-ring resonator. From these analyses, it is found that the proposed waveguide is outstanding in aspects of the total field extinction and frequency selectivity characteristic.
Tree-pruning robot can appear tilt problem in the climbing process because of the trunk shape and mechanical mechanism of its climbing legs. According to the robot's tilt problem, this paper guarantees the level of tree-pruning robot using the method of controlling the motor speed at different locations. This paper establishes a three-dimensional virtual prototype model about tree-pruning robot in ADAMS software, design controller in Matlab software, and conduct ADAMS-Matlab co-simulation. The simulation results and experimental prototypes show that the designed control method can effectively overcome the tilt problem in the crawling process.
In this paper, the modulated transmission property of bacteriorhodopsin (bR) film is analyzed theoretically when two beams of light, yellow light and purple light, illuminate the b R film simultaneously. B y using the transmission property of bR film, the winner-take-all thresholding operation can be realized.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
