ÖZETAmaç: Bu çalışmada, psikiyatri polikliniğine ayaktan başvuran ve antidepresan tedavi başlanan hastalarda, 3 aylık dönem boyunca ruhsal belirtilerindeki gerilemeye paralel cinsel işlevlerdeki değişim ve bu değişimin anksiyete, depresyon belirtileri ile ilişkisinin araştırılması amaç-lanmıştır.Yöntem: Psikiyatri polikliniğine ardı sıra başvuran, antidepresan tedavi başlanan 82 hasta çalışmaya alınmıştır. Hastalara ilk görüşmede, 1., 2. ve 3. aylarda Hamilton Depresyon Derecelendirme Ölçeği, Hamilton Anksiyete Değerlendirme Ölçeği, İşlevselliğin Genel Değerlendirilmesi Ölçeği ve Arizona Cinsel Yaşantılar Ölçeği uygulanmıştır.
Bulgular:Tedavi öncesinde hastaların 57'sinde (%69,50) cinsel işlev bozukluğu saptanmıştır. Bu gruptaki 24 hastada (%42,11) çalışma sonunda ACYÖ puanlarına göre artık cinsel işlev bozukluğu saptanmazken, 33 hastanın (%57,89) puanlarının ise halen bozukluk düzeyinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Tedavi öncesinde cinsel işlev bozukluğu olmayan gruptaki 25 hastanın 8'inde (%32) izlem sonunda cinsel işlev bozukluğu saptanmıştır. Cinsel işlev bozukluğu, anksiyete ve depresif belirtilerden bağımsız olarak hastaların işlevselliğini etkilemektedir.Sonuç: Çalışmamızın sonuçları psikiyatrik hasta popülasyonunda cinsel işlev bozukluğu oranının oldukça yüksek olduğuna işaret etmektedir. Klinisyenlerin tedavi başlangıcında ve takibinde ruhsal belirtilerinin yanında cinsel işlevlerini de göz önüne alarak tedavinin fayda-zarar dengesini belirlemesi uygun olacaktır. Objective: The aim of this study was to study the change in sexual functions within 3 months period following the initiation of antidepressant treatment in psychiatry outpatients, and its relationship with the change in anxiety and depression symptoms.
Material and Method:Eighty two patients, who consecutively applied to the psychiatry outpatient clinic and who were prescribed antidepressants, were included in the study. Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, General Assessment of Functioning Scale and Arizona Sexual Experience Questionnaire (ASEC) were administered to the patients at the first interview, then repeated on a monthly basis during 3 months.Results: Fifty seven of the patients (69.50 %) has been diagnosed with sexual dysfunctions prior to the antidepressant treatment. During the third month after the antidepressant treatment, 24 patients in this group (42.11%) showed no impairment in ASEC scores, whereas 33 patients' (57.89%) scores were still at impairment level. Eight patients out of 25 (32%) who weren't diagnosed with sexual dysfunctions prior to the treatment were later diagnosed with sexual dysfunctions. Sexual dysfunctions correlated with patients' level of functioning, separately from anxiety and depression symptoms.

Prevalence of tobacco, alcohol and substance use among Eskisehir Osmangazi University studentsObjective: This study aimed at researching the prevalence of tobacco, alcohol, and substance use and its relation with sociodemographic variables in Eskisehir Osmangazi University students.
Method:The study population consisted of 17676 students at Eskisehir Osmangazi University faculties and colleges. A total of 3141 students (17.76%) were reached using a cross-sectional layer method. The study was evaluated including 3114 people. A survey form was used to obtain the data.Results: The prevalence of Eskisehir Osmangazi University students' lifelong cigarette use is 40.2%. It was determined that the prevalence of lifelong alcohol use is 60.8%, the prevalence of lifelong substance use except for tobacco and alcohol is 11.0%. This study found that tobacco, alcohol, and substance use are higher in males, in students living on their own, those having negative ideas about themselves and their future, those who are seeking excitement, and those with problems of anger control. In addition, it was determined that tobacco, alcohol, and substance use are higher in students whose family members and especially whose close environment use cigarettes, alcohol, and substances.Conclusion: These risk factors need to be taken into account in the preparation of prevention programs. These programs are must be implemented among the youth before coming to university. Sonuç: Önleme programlarının hazırlanmasında bu risk faktörlerinin de dikkate alınması ve bu programların gençlere üniversiteye gelmeden önce uygulanması gerekmektedir.
