Aiming at the fact that target ships of ship handling simulator have not the ability of avoiding other ships according to the COLREG 1972, the paper puts forward to add Personifying Intelligent Decision-making for Vessel Collision Avoidance, for short PIDVCA, and vessel automatic control algorithm into solver procedure of target ship, designed and realized target ships to sail according to the COLREG 1972, which make ship handling simulator more realistic simulate the actual navigation environment at sea. Finally, the paper gives the simulation pictures of 2 and 4 target ships intelligent collision.
Due to the target ship in the traditional ship handling simulator have not the ability to give way to other ships automatically to avoid collision, this paper put forward a new idea that bringing the hydraulic servo platform, six degrees of freedom ship mathematical model, the actual traffic flow, researching achievement of automatic anti-collision in research of the new pattern ship handling simulator, and successfully develop the Intelligent Ship Handling Simulator(ISHS for short). The paper focuse on the research on the network communication model of ISHS. We took the entire simulator system as three relatively independent networks, proposed a framework of communication network that combined IOCP model based on TCP with blocking model based on UDP, and gave the communication process and protocols of system. Test results indicate that this is an effective way to improve the ownship capacity of ship handling simulator and meet the need of multi-ownship configuration of desktop system of ship handling simulator.
This paper puts forward a new design of intelligent navigational simulator due to the fact that the target ships in the current existing navigational simulator at home and aboard which does not have the capacity to automatically give way to other ships to avoid collision. The Designed navigational simulators in which the both target ships and own ships have the ability of anti-collision which makes a big improve on the current navigational training effectiveness. The new designed simulator ,on one hand, can instruct the trainer to take correct action to avoid collision, on the other hand, the target ships in the training exercise can intelligently navigate according to the seaman ordinary practice or《COLREG 1972》at the current traffic situation which is much closer to the real situation on the sea. On the base of the research of algorithm of automatic anti-collision, the raw system frame and basic principle of the intelligent navigational simulator and some typical experiment and analysis is also given.
