The research presented an alternative model of reading education as an attempt to help the readers 'acquisition, enlightenment, and active praxis'. The reading model is based on the strategy of 'self-generated question', and aims to restore the readers ‘right to think’ and ‘right to act’ through ‘conversation’ and ‘discussion’. This is an attempt to supplement not only the limitations of the existing ‘self-generated question’ strategy, but also the problems of reading education that disregards the essential aspects of reading. The research quoted the most popular Forum Theatre among Boal's 'Theatre Oppressed'. Just as Boal made the audience an active subject by empowering all the authority of the play to the spect-actor, the ‘questioning’ reading method model makes the readers the subject of reading. Active ‘questioning’ and ‘conversation’ made by readers enable them to reason dialectically about problems in reality, and theatre activity presented as reading activity can be practical exercises that can transform reality. Therefore, the 'questioning' reading method model is a reading education that reinforces the essence of reading.
