The profiles of the first three Balmer lines of hydrogen are measured in a turbulent heating experiment. From the position of Stark satellites the field strength of low frequency oscillations (ω ~ ω
AbstPact-Low-frequency density fluctuations in the outer region of the TORTUR Tokzmak are observed by microwave scattering. The frequency spectrum, measured for a fixed wave vector, is very broad and can be explained by drift waves, predominantly of the coilisionless type. A considerable enhancement of this kind of turbulence is found after the application of fast high-voltage current pulses or! top of the current plateau, showing a proportionality with the square of the plasma current.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
