Recent studies have investigated the relationship between the social problem-solving skills and academic motivation; nevertheless, new studies should examine the relationships between the social problem solving and academic motivation taking the effect of Covid-19 fear into consideration. As a result of this, in this study, it was aimed to a construct structural equation model by which the impacts of social problem-solving skills on academic motivation by means of Covid-19 fear were studied. Therefore, 513 university students participated in the study and completed Social Problem-Solving Inventory-Short Form, the Fear of Covid-19 Scale, and Academic Motivation Scale. The SEM model analysis indicated that rational problem solving, negative orientation to problem, impulsive/careless style and avoidant style predicted %15 of the Covid-19 fear. Altogether rational problem solving, negative orientation to problem, impulsive/careless style, avoidant style, positive orientation to problem and Covid-19 fear explained %32 of the academic motivation.
Recent studies have examined the association between personality and job performance; however, this relationship remains to be elucidated within the context of COVID-19 fear and intention to quit. Therefore, we aimed to develop a structural equation model (SEM) by exploring the effects of personality on job performance through COVID-19 fear and intention to quit. Accordingly, 447 employees participated in the study and completed the Job Performance Scale, the Scale of Intention to Quit, the COVID-19 Fear scale, and the Big Five Inventory. It was revealed that extroversion, conscientiousness, and neuroticism predicted job performance via COVID-19 fear, as well as intention to quit.
The aim of this paper is to examine parents' views and experiences regarding their adolescent children's violent and aggressive behaviours within the framework of the Non-Violent Resistance approach in Turkish culture.The study group consisted of 40 volunteer married parents (35 females, 5 males) between the ages of 30 and 56 who resided in Central Anatolia. We conducted a descriptive study using a phenomenological design. A thematic analysis method was used in the analysis of the data. Within the framework of the results, we describe parents' experiences of their children's violence, their responses to such behaviour and their accounts of parental conflicts and presence.
