Intramolecularly Stabilized Metal Amides: 2-(Dimethylaminomethyl)pyrrolyl Complexes of Titanium(III), Vanadium(III), Chromium(III), Cobalt(I1) and Nickel(I1)By the metallation of 2-(dimethylaminomethy1)pyrrol (HL) of these new compounds are discussed on the basis of mawith butyllithium the lithium pyrrolide LiL (1) was obtained. gnetic and visible absorption measurements. Starting from usual principles of redox stability in coordination chemistry and from the donor‐acceptor characteristic of organyl ligands the review covers the redox behaviour of transition metals in the coordination with simple carbanions. The main topics are the stabilization of high oxidation states and the electron variability in s̀‐organyl transition metal complexes as well as the stabilization of low oxidation states, especially in electron rich phenyl complexes by coordination of lithium ions to the transition metal.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
