In the title compound (systematic name: (S)‐4‐{3‐[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl]‐1H‐indol‐5‐ylmethyl}oxazolidin‐2‐one chloroform solvate), C16H21N3O2·CHCl3, the oxazolidinone ring is in a twist conformation. Intermolecular N—H⋯O, N—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.
The Ba-hexagonal ferrites (BaFe12O19) with Bi2O3 as a sintering aid have been studied. The beneficial effects on magnetic and electrical properties are obtained for a ∼2.5 mol% Bi2O3 content. The Bi3+ ions in the present system seem to substitute for Fe3+ at octahedral sites leading to formation of BaFe12-x
Bi
x
O19 (x<0.32) type ferrite. It leads ∼12.4% decrease of the saturation magnetization and an increase of T
c from 457 to 480°C in comparison to pure Ba-ferrite. Coercivity (H
c) is found to decrease on Bi2O3 addition and sintering the samples at higher temperatures (1100–1300°C) for prolonged periods. The bulk density, compressive strength and electrical (AC) resistivity are measured for all the useful samples. The results considered together successfully account for the effects of Bi2O3 on the growth of Ba-ferrite particles.
Zolmitriptan, C16H21N3O2, a selective serotonin (5‐HT) receptor agonist, is chemically designated as (S)‐4‐{3‐[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl]‐1H‐indol‐5‐ylmethyl}oxazolidin‐2‐one. The molecular geometry is similar to that of sumatriptan, but the two differ in their side‐chain orientations. Intermolecular N—H⋯O and N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds form a screw‐symmetric helical chain along the b axis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
