This paper presents a new partial optimization approach for the least significant bit (LSB) data hiding technique that can be used for protecting any secret information or data. A deterioration effect of as little as possible in an image is intended using the LSB data hiding technique and this is well realized utilizing the proposed partial optimization approach achieving the same data embedding bit rates. In the proposed approach, all of the image pixels are classified into 8 regions and then the 8 distinct ordering codings are applied to each region by the developed partial optimization encoder. Thus, the most effective outcome that has been obtained from the 8 regions means that the number of the altered bits is kept minimized. Hence, the minimal values that have been attained from the 8 regions enable decoding that ensures relatively small distortions on the extracted cover image.
Abstract:The focus of this paper is the implementation of a constrained predictive control algorithm implemented in Multi-Parametric Toolbox (MPT), which is a free MATLAB toolbox for design, analysis, and implementation of controllers for constrained linear, nonlinear, and hybrid systems. In general, MPT is used for modeling systems offline. The novelty of this study is that real-time mode MPT is used in process control. We also combined the Model Predictive Control Toolbox with MPT. This novel controller is considered a real-time controller of level-pressure systems. In this study, a special type of model predictive control algorithm, the constrained continuous-time generalized control, is used as a controller. The advantages of the controller are illustrated by comparing it to a decoupling PI control.
In this study, investigation of video processing method which is a new technique for precision displacement measurement is presented. The video processing method was integrated with an interferometric system and the thermal expansion results and linear thermal expansion coecients of a heated sample metals were compared with theoretical results. Michelson interferometer setup was used in our study due to its advantages in precision displacement information of a visual output, called interferograms. In the experimental studies, signals of interferograms containing displacement information were obtained from the measurement system. The amount of displacement in the sample metals under the temperature variation due to thermal expansion was measured with the analysis program, written in Matlab/Simulink environment, with a micrometer precision. The measured displacement amounts were compared with the results of theoretical calculations. According to the theoretical values, the relative error of the values measured with video processing based method, was found found to be 0.3%
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
