Two types of multicomposition PZT composites whose configurations are parallel and series, respectively, were prepared by conventional ceramic processing. Their Fn(LT)-FR(HT) phase transition tehaviors were investigated and compared with that of single composition ceramic materials. The temperature ranges of F,(LT)-F,(HT) phase transition in multi-composition ceramic samples were wider than that in single composition ceramic samples. The former reached 16°C and 10°C. respectively, while the laner was only about 2°C. The peak values of pyroeleceic current of composites decreased when the total area of samples remained unchanged, but they were still much larger than that of ordinary linear pymelectric materials. The two types of multi-composition PZT composites were the candidates for pymelectric sensor materials and can be used for heat-electric energy conversion.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
