-239Chemistry of Phosphorus. Part 224. Thermolysis of 1,2-Di-tertbutyldiphosphane, 1,2,3-Tri-tert-butyltriphosphane, and Tetra-tertbutylcyclotetraphosphane.-Thermolysis of the diphosphane (I) affords P-rich tert-butylphosphanes formed by disproportionation and at high temperature. A longer thermolysis time converts them via more P-rich and more highly condensed tert-butylcyclophosphanes finally into elemental phosphorus. Additionally varying amounts of tert-butylmonophosphanes are formed in each reaction step. -(BAUDLER, M.; TSCHAEBUNIN, H.; Z. Anorg. Allg.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
