BackgroundProinflammatory cytokine IL‐6 and anti‐inflammatory cytokine IL‐10 are expressed in herniated intervertebral disks of Kazakhs, but their significance is not yet understood.MethodsSpecimens of herniated lumbar disk were collected from 30 patients with single disk herniation during lumbar discectomy. As a control, 10 specimens were collected postmortem from the cadavers of individuals who did not die from spinal disease. The clinical symptoms in all cases were evaluated preoperation by the JOA index. The expressions of IL‐6 and IL‐10 in the degenerative disk cells of each specimen were detected using immunohistochemical staining. The amounts of IL‐6 and IL‐10 in each intervertebral disk were assessed by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay.ResultsThe expression levels of IL‐6 and IL‐10 were significantly higher in the patient group than in the control group. Statistical analysis showed differences between ethnic Kazakh and Han patients in both the expression of IL‐6 and JOA scores. Immunohistochemical staining showed that in the patient group, IL‐6 was found in 28 patients and IL‐10 was found in 27 patients.ConclusionThe high expression of cytokines, such as IL‐6 and IL‐10, has an important relationship with disk degeneration. Of course, age is another factor in cell apoptosis of degenerative disks. More research is necessary to discover how ethnicity and heredity impact the levels of expressed cytokines.
Background: This article presents an application of the use of a personalized three-dimensional (3D)-printed reverse shoulder prosthesis to be used in a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) for a patient with tuberculosis of the shoulder joint. Background: Patient concerns: A 37-year-old female, who suffered a trauma on her left shoulder 17 years ago, reported significant worsening pain and limited physical activity within the last 6 months. The left shoulder joint activity was clearly restricted. Diagnosis: Her clinical manifestations, bone changes in shoulder joint, and imaging results were all consistent with extended exposure to tuberculosis of the shoulder joint. Interventions: For this patient, a personalized 3D-printed titanium alloy shoulder joint prosthesis was used in the RTSA. The patient’s stability was regularly monitored and followed up after operation. During pre-operation, post-operation, and follow-up, the scores of ASES, Neer Shoulder score, and Constant-Murley Shoulder were evaluated. Results: 3D shoulder prosthesis was successfully implanted into the patient and complete anatomic reconstruction was performed intraoperatively. ASES, Neer, and Constant-Murley scores were gradually improved on follow-up. The X-ray image showed good bone healing and no changes in the position of the prosthesis seven and a half years post-operation. The functionality of the shoulder joint was well restored and no restrictions were found in activities of daily living. Conclusion: Personalized 3D-printed shoulder joint prosthesis is very effective in the treatment of advanced tuberculosis of the shoulder joint. 3D-printed technology may be a novel and efficient method for similar arthroplasties and severe bone defects.

This study assessed P53′s role in BMSC osteogenic differentiation. Osteoporosis model was established and P53 expression in the osteogenic differentiation was detected by RT-PCR. BMSC was cultivated and transfected with siRNA followed by measuring presentation of osteogenic differentiation was detected after cells were. The apoptotic condition of osteogenic differentiation was detected through IF method and protein analysis. The relation between P53 and miR-153-5p/miR-183-5p-XIAP signal axis was detected through bioinformatics and luciferase reporter gene assay. P53 expression was significantly increased after osteogenic differentiation was induced. There was a binding site between P53 and miR-153-5p/miR-183-5p-XIAP signal axis. The apoptotic ability of osteoblast was enhanced after inhibition of the expression of P53. In conclusion, P53 develops crucial action on the regulation of BMSC osteogenic differentiation through miR-153-5p/miR-183-5p-XIAP axis.
This article studies the effects of arthroscopic imaging treatment and clinical rehabilitation of knee sports injuries. Arthroscopy was used to perform meniscus trimming and resection for 40 patients with knee sports injuries. The ages of the patients ranged from 20 to 60 years old. All patients received routine rehabilitation training such as continuous passive motion of the knee joint, biofeedback of the lower limbs, and air pressure therapy of the lower limbs. In addition, the control group was given muscle strength training, and the training began after the patients received the quadriceps muscle strength test. The removal of the joint cavity and the joint debridement has achieved satisfactory treatment results. In the experiment, the test cases were divided into two groups, and the sensor test platform was used for signal collection. Normal activities can be resumed 2 weeks after the operation. After a follow-up of 6 to 24 months, the knee joint pain disappeared, the joint was free of swelling, and the knee function was normal up to 93%. Arthroscopic reconstruction of the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament joint repair/reconstruction of the medial and posterolateral ligament knots is safe and feasible for the treatment of multiple ligament injuries of the knee joint. It has the advantages of less trauma and quick recovery. Early postoperative systemic and standardized rehabilitation exercises can obtain good knee joint function.
