To the Editor, It was a great pleasure to read your article "Total arch replacement in patients with chronic kidney disease" by Kohei Hachiro et al. 1 in which authors determined the role of preoperative renal dysfunction on postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing elective isolated total arch replacement (TAR). The article was very well put, and the authors did a great job, but we have a few concerns that we would like to share.
