Die Produktindividualisierung, Digitalisierung und Automatisierung der Produktion erfordern eine ständige Anpassung der Produktionsund Intralogistikprozesse. Referenzmodelle unterstützen dabei Produktions- und Fabrikplaner mit Standards, Werkzeugen und vielem mehr. Eine Marktrecherche von Referenzmodellen zeigt erhebliche inhaltliche und methodische Unvollständigkeiten auf. Eine daraus abgeleitete Handlungsempfehlung für die Konstruktion eines Intralogistikreferenzmodells wird vorgestellt.

The increasing globalisation and the change of culture and structure of enterprises cause a continuous product innovation in shorter and shorter cycles and a varied organisation. "Knowledge" and "Competence" become important competitive factors as well as decisive resources for enterprises. This will require new qualifications of the employees and lifelong learning will be an important key factor. In research and development as well as in factory planning, the intemationalisation process requires that new competences will be developed. The "Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Production Management" (FBK) at the University of Kaiserslautem, has developed a holistic teaching concept to fulfil this demands. The total concept, ViteFBK (Virtual Teaching at the FBK), consists of different components and learning phases, which include different multimedia based teaching and learning methods. The multimedia technology offers exciting new opportunities for building up competence in international collaboration on problem solving projects.

Für Educational Excellence muss die Ausbildung angehender Akademiker den Spagat zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis meistern. Einfache Praktika u. a. klassische Ansätze reichen für Educational Excellence, angelehnt an die Anforderungen der Operational Excellence, nicht aus. Vorgestellt wird das an der ESB Business School der Hochschule Reutlingen seit vielen Jahren in der Wirtschaftsingenieurausbildung für Produktion und Logistik in einem Projekt-Masterstudiengang mit vielen Industriepartnern praktizierte kooperative Modell der Educational Excellence.

Globalization and networking becomes a major issue in factory planning processes. At the same time, information and communication technologies are available which can fasten this process and increase the efficiency of global networking. To teach students and company's employees the handling of these new technologies a case based gaming approach is necessary due to the interaction in planning processes using different information and communication technologies.
