Coronavirus adalah keluarga besar virus yang menyebabkan penyakit mulai dari gejala ringan sampai berat. Pada tanggal 30 Januari 2020 WHO telah menetapkan sebagai Kedaruratan Kesehatan Masyarakat Yang Meresahkan Dunia/ Public Health Emergency of International Concern (KKMMD/PHEIC). Penambahan jumlah kasus COVID-19 berlangsung cukup cepat dan sudah terjadi penyebaran antar Negara. Sosialisasi dan edukasi new normal life merupakan cara mempersiapkan warga agar lebih waspada dan memperhatikan kesehatan diri sendiri selama beraktivitas di luar rumah. Hal ini sebagai bagian penting dalam rangka pemerataan informasi serta mengurangi angka penderita Covid-19. Pendekatan yang dipakai untuk mencapai tujuan pengabdian meliputi beberapa jenis kegiatan yaitu presentasi dan demonstrasi tentang virus corona dan new normal dihadapan warga RT 002 RW 005 desa Sunggumanai Kab. Gowa. Respon peserta saat pelaksanaan pelatihan sangat baik. Seluruh peserta begitu antusias memperhatikan setiap penjelasan. Dari 11 peserta, ada 2 orang yang mengajukan pertanyaan.
The objective of this research is to determine the increase of mathematics student achievement with applying of the cooperative learning model of statistical material. This research is classroom action research (CAR) where the research subjects are students of grade XII MIPA 1 SMAN 8 Takalar as many as 33 students which were carried out in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. From the results of the study, it can be seen the percentage of classical completeness from the initial test (pre-test), cycle I, and cycle II. In the initial test before getting treatment using cooperative learning model, the average score of the student achievement test reached 60.21. Furthermore, after getting treatment, the learning outcomes test in the first cycle increased to 71.39, then there was an increase again in the second cycle to 78.12. Likewise, the achievement of the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which is 72, namely the number of students who achieve the KKM score on the initial test is 14 students or 42.42%, in the first cycle it increases to 20 students or 60.60%, while in the second cycle, an increase of 26 students or 78.78%. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in student achievement seen from the test and the student achievement of KKM scores which increase significantly. while in the second cycle, an increase of 26 students or 78.78%. Equation tools atau equation editor adalah sebuah aplikasi Microsoft Office Word yang fungsinya membantu kita dalam membuat rumus-rumus matematika, persamaan, akar pangkat kuadrat, rumus kimia, dan sejenisnya. Karena masih kurangnya pemahaman siswa SMAN 8 Takalar mengenai pemahaman equation tools, maka kami memberikan pelatihan kepada siswa tentang pemanfaatan salah satu product dari software Microsot office yaitu Ms Word yang menyajikan fitur EQUATION yang dapat digunakan untuk penulisan notasi matematika, rumus-rumus kimia, rumus-rumus Fisika, rumus-rumus di bidang ilmu eksakta dan non eksakta lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode pembimbingan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini dapat dilihat dari terdapat 89% peserta yang mampu mengikuti setiap arahan yang diberikan dengan baik dan hanya 11% yang mengalami keterlambatan dikarenakan sarana komputer masih belum mencukupi. Pada tahap evaluasi untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta pelatihan terdapat 70 % peserta yang mampu mempraktekkan sendiri tanpa harus dibimbing ulang dan 30 % yang masih tersendak dan perlu dibimbing kembali. Luaran yang terwujud dari kegiatan ini adalah menambah keterampilan siswa SMAN 8 Takalar dalam membuat laporan tugas sekolah yang memerlukan penulisan notasi matematika, menambah pemahaman siswa mengenai mengenai equation tools, publikasi ilmiah di jurnal nasional.
The solutions offered in this service activity are 1) to motivate students to be interested in learning the basic material, namely numbers and letters, 2) to increase teacher knowledge in determining the type of teaching materials that are suitable to be applied, 3) To motivate teachers to improve their skills. can make children interested in the material presented. The service activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 14 Tanralili, Maros Regency by involving elementary school teachers who were around the school. The results of this service activity are 1) showing the enthusiasm of the teachers to respond to the application of teaching materials for the introduction of basic letters and numbers, this is indicated by the presence of teachers who ask questions, suggestions and criticisms, 2) There is an increase in teachers' knowledge and understanding of the concept of recognizing numbers and letters for elementary school teachers, 3) There is a positive response from the participants which is marked by working on independent assignments.
