We propose the use of optical frequency multiplication as a cost-effective method to optically generate wireless radio frequencies (RFs) and deliver them from a central station to remote radio access units. In this paper, a theoretical analysis for the parameters affecting the intensity of the generated harmonics is investigated. Simulation results show that the generation of high order harmonic components requires a greater frequency modulation index.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
