S11referrals, the false negative rates were also high in otolaryngologist (0.12%), and followed by dentists (0.04%) and other specialists (0.04%). Considering participants' overall mortality, visual examinations conducted by otolaryngologists or other specialists were associated with higher risks (HR= 1.07, 95%CI= 0.99~1.15, p= 0.07; HR= 1.22, 95%CI= 1.12~1.32). CONCLUSIONS: Performance of examiners in oral cancer screening is the essential issue for screening quality. While dentists, otolaryngologists and other specialists may have encountered people at different levels of oral cancer risks, we clarified the performance of examiners in current screening setting. Our results may help health authority to further optimize the arrangement of examiners in current oral cancer screening program.
