Qualitative research methods are becoming more and more important in medical research area. Some qualitative researches played important roles in the exploration and the spread of core ideas of Chinese medicine. The report of qualitative research should be transparent and credible according to the standardized report criterion. On the basis of 22 criteria, the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research (COREQ) was developed and published in September 2007. This introduction to COREQ will be helpful to Chinese qualitative researchers and readers in the implementation of high quality of medical qualitative research in China.
Clinical pathway (CP), as a standardized approach and clinical management process for disease diagnosing and treating, is being widely used with more relevant publications reported gradually. But different forms of CP reports may prevent the evaluation and spreading of CP. The authors recommend guidelines for evidence-based Chinese medicine CP report, including 18 items which form 5 big sections, by precise item selection and rigorous expert consensus. All these items can embody the principles of Chinese medicine and comply with the requirements of the clinical practice of Chinese medicine. All above are based on synthesizing the published literature systematically and analyzing the current status in this field, also according to the characteristics of Chinese medicine and methodology requirement of evidence-based medicine.
An experimental testing rig is built to study the performance of a centrifugal pump used in medium consistency technology (MC technology). Pump performances are tested in different pulp concentration, degas pressure differential, and tip clearance ratio. The results show that in medium concentration, pump head and efficiency decreases with increase of pulp concentration. There is a critical concentration above which pump performance drops. Gas separation effect is influenced by the pressure differential over the degas system and the air content in the pulp suspension. In high concentration and small tip clearance conditions, friction loss increases a great deal and results in an efficiency reduction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
