The cold-end system of steam turbine is an important auxiliary system in thermal power plant, its operating mode has a direct impact on the output of the unit and auxiliary power. This paper uses an optimization analysis method to calculate the cold-end system of a 1000MW ultra-supercritical(USC) unit, and establishes a cold-end optimization system by using VB6.0 for a domestic ultra-supercritical unit, which provides an online guide for the operator by calculating the condenser. The results show that this system can provide some guidance for unit operation.
This paper presents the analytical calculation models of temperature and thermal stresses in a 2-D axis-symmetric object during heat treating. Complicated geometries can be taken into account using Green's function method. The models can deal with some nonlinear factors such as temperature-dependent properties using perturbation method. One case has been given to compare the results calculated by the models deduced with those calculated by FEM (finite element method). It is shown that the models presented in this work have satisfactory accuracy. Another case shows an application of a water quenching process. Combining the presented mathematical models, real-time controls of quenching and controlled cooling can be accomplished with greatly improved accuracy.
Through the appropriate assumptions, a mathematical model was derived on circumferential fin of rectangular profile coated with frost layer, and a new analytical solution is presented and compared to alternative approaches for calculating the fin temperature and efficiency. The analytical solution enhances the accuracy ,and have a simpler form of expression. It can be easily used in engineering practice. The solution is useful for other cases of a low-thermal-conductivity coating on a high-thermal-conductivity substrate .
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
