Batteries. -Nanocrystalline LiMn2O4/graphene nanosheet (GNS) composite is hydrothermally prepared by dispersing GNS in H2O followed by addition of KMnO4 and LiOH (autoclave, 180°C, 5 h). LiMn2O4 nanoparticles of 10-30 nm are well crystallized and homogeneously anchored on the GNS which provides a highly conductive matrix and also effectively reduces the agglomeration of LiMn2O4 nanoparticles. Specific capacity, cycle performance, and rate capability measurements reveal the superior electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite and makes it a promising cathode material for high-performance Li ion batteries. -(LIN, B.; YIN, Q.; HU, H.; LU, F.; XIA*, H.; J.
