<p><em>Career decision-making ability requires the ability to assess and think of the integration between the knowledge of themselves and the knowledge of the job. Self-determination is the ability to identify desire for autonomy, competence, and relation in order to achieve a target. Achievement motivation refers to students’ attempts to meet goals by becoming a moderate risk taker, showing perseverance in work, having expectation for feedback, showing responsibility in a given task, and having the ability to innovate. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of self-determination and achievement motivation on Senior High School students’ career decision-making ability. This research also investigates if the aforementioned variables are correlated. The sample for this research are 410 students of Senior High School Grade XI. This is a quantitative based research with multiple correlational research design. The results of the research shows that the correlation value between the self-determination and achievement motivation variables and the career decision-making ability variable is 0.780 (0.00 <0.05). This means that there is a significant correlation between the aforementioned variables. The contribution of the self-determination and achievement motivation variables to the career decision-making ability variable ((R<sup>2</sup>) is 78%.</em><em></em></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>career decision-making abilitie</em><em>s; </em><em>self-determination</em><em>;</em><em> achievement motivation.</em><strong><em></em></strong></p>
D uring the current COVID-19 outbreak situation, many psychological problems are experienced by many people worldwide, that is, anxiety, stress, depression, frustration, burnout, boredom, and even cabin fever. [1][2][3][4][5][6] These psychological problems are, of course, alarming to daily activities, especially for patients with COVID-19 after recovery. If it is not treated immediately, it will become a big enough problem, which various diseases can attack because of decreased immunity. 7,8 To reduce these psychological problems, there is a form of therapy that is very easy and can be done by everyone, regardless of age, sex, religion, etc, namely, cycling therapy. 9 According to Moore et al, 9 cycling therapy can make the body fitter because it can create static movements in the body, resulting in smooth circulation of blood from the brain to the rest of the body. This, in turn, can help the brain produce more endorphins than usual. 10 Basically, endorphins can help increase the body's immunity and make life happier, but they will also reduce anxiety, stress, depression, frustration, burnout, boredom, and even cabin fever that is experienced. 6,[10][11][12] When doing cycling therapy, you can also listen to music that you love. 13 This can further help the brain to produce other hormones, such as dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin. [14][15][16] On the basis of the above writing, mental health workers, such as counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, and social workers can invite everyone worldwide to start this cycling therapy so that everyone can reduce their psychological problems, especially for patients with COVID-19 after recovery. Everyone can have good mental and physical health amid this COVID-19 outbreak that does not know when it will end.
Regulasi diri adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam mengatur, mengembangkan, dan melaksanakan tingkah laku sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran regulasi diri mahasiswa program studi Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) angkatan 2018-2020 Unika Atma Jaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah instrument regulasi diri yang berbentuk skala penilaian. Instrumen ini bertujuan untuk mengukur variabel regulasi diri Instrumen variabel regulasi diri terdiri dari 32 pernyataan, dan setelah diuji coba menghasilkan 30 pernyataan dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,886. Mahasiswa BK Angkatan 2018-2020 berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 61.5%. Mean dari variabel regulasi diri pada penelitian ini adalah 171. Komponen menetapkan standar dan tujuan individu merupakan komponen tertinggi karena memiki skor diatas rata – rata yaitu 267. Sedangkan komponen terendah dari variabel regulasi diri adalah evaluasi diri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan para mahasiswa dapat membuat jurnal harian yang dilatih oleh para dosen pendamping agar dapat melakukan evaluasi diri demi pengembangan kompetensi secara berkala.
