This empirical investigation aims to determine the factors leading to the adaptation of Taxi Hailing Mobile Apps among Malaysian consumers using the theory of Venkatesh et al. (2003) user theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The adopted framework has four independent variables namely performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions. Dependent variables include behavioural intension and user behaviour. The study follows exploratory research design and quantitative research method. Primary data is collected using online Google survey questionnaire. The target population of this research study is international and local in Malaysia who makes use of taxi hailing app in order to satisfy their transportation needs. Convenience sampling technique is used to collect data from a sample of 202 respondents. Confirmatory Factors Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) are used in order to answer the research questions. Findings show that Performance expectancy, social influence and behaviour intension has positive influence on user behaviour while effort expectancy and behavioural intension has no influence. For scholars and researchers, understandably this research study opens the gate way of the application of UTAUT on information system (IS) apps that had been recently created.
This paper explores online learners' preferences and experiences of using Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as a leaning environment. The paper thus intends to investigate what online learners prefer and what they experience while using MOOCs. The research employs exploratory approach using qualitative data. It considers reviews posted by the users of the two globally popular website for online learning namely edX (14 million learners) and Coursera (40 million learners). The total of 572 reviews is selected using simple random sampling. Selected reviews were refined based on language and appropriateness and then subjected to thematic analysis pinpointing and recording patterns of meaning (Themes). The thematic analysis presents a framework with eight dimensions to understand MOOC users' preferences. These identified dimensions are course diversification, experience, pedagogy, support, convenience, ease of use, monetary and quality. The proposed framework can be used to enhance learners experience and continuity of using MOOCs. In future researches, the framework can be tested empirically for its reliability and validity in our future research.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of selected customer perceived value factors on the consumer loyalty towards Mobile commerce in Malaysia towards fashion and apparel industry. This research mainly proposes on the integrated model of dependent variable loyalty of consumer behavior with six independent variables such as Efficiency, System availability, Fulfillment, price as perceived value elements. Explanatory research is adopted and data was collected using a questionnaire developed based on the past researches. The sample of 215 M-shoppers is collected using convenience sampling and then analyzed with help of AMOS 22 tool mainly verified normality, reliability, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modelling and path analysis. Correlation Analysis has been carried out for the latent constructs of the SEM to find the strength of relationship between variables and through the Path Analysis R-square value obtained indicated that the model explains most of
This article provides a panoramic view of the research undertaken so far in the field of digital natives to highlight important trends, examine the intellectual structure and provide recommendations for future research. The study uses 983 publications from the Scopus database to analyse the productivity, impact and research performance of nations, journals, authors and institutions using indicators such as impact factor, h-index and citation counts. This review study uses bibliometric and science mapping analysis to assess the most recent developments and trends in ‘digital native’ research. VOSviewer is used to conduct keyword network analysis, co-authorship analysis and reference co-citation analysis, followed by SciMAT analysis to provide an evolution map and a cluster of themes. The analysis identified key contributors to the field, high-impact papers and geographic areas where field research is concentrated. The main research gaps were then identified, indicating future research avenues. The findings of this study will provide fresh higher-level insights into the developing field of digital native research for educators, computing executives, business managers and research scholars. Such information would be useful in establishing digital native recruitment tactics by the respective industry. The research will also aid in the development of policies for digital natives.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
