This article presents a rectangular patch antenna designed to work at Global Positioning System and C frequency bands. The dual-band operation is obtained by combining the capacitivecoupled coplanar waveguide with the reactive loading method, which consists of a circular slot etched on the rectangular patch. This latter was designed first to resonate at the principal frequency f 10 then a circular slot was etched on the radiator to enhance the electric characteristics of the secondary frequency f 30 . The simulated and fabricated antenna resonates at 1.575 and 4.6 GHz. The achieved work shows a good concordance between the simulated and experimental results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
