The development of education and technology can have a big influence on the quality of students and teachers in the development of the world. Models and media can increase effectiveness and creativity in the learning process. Especially, when discussing the learning process at Vocational High School (VHS) which requires a balance between practice and theory, interaction, and guidance needed by students. Increasing the value of student learning results and quality by utilizing online learning models in vocational high schools can be used as a reference for the successful implementation. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of online learning that is practiced from several perspectives, both in terms of students, teachers, or the media used. This research applied a literature review study by gathering information relevant to the topic and object of research. The analytical technique was carried out by describing the findings from various sources to answer the topic under study. The results showed the implementation of online learning models from the point of view of effectiveness, quality, ease of media, implementation and development, and effects of online learning. Thus, it can be concluded that online learning had a positive effect on the development of student learning.
Programming technique is one of the subjects at Vocational High School in Indonesia. This subject contains theory and application of programming utilizing Visual Programming. Students experience some difficulties to learn textual learning. Therefore, it is necessary to develop media as a tool to transfer learning materials. The objectives of this study are to determine the feasibility of learning media based on Visual Programming and to investigate the response of students who utilize the learning media. Learning media is firstly validated by experts before it is applied to students. This research implemented rating validation with fuzzy rating based on fuzzy inference system. Fuzzy benefits in translating a crisp form into the preference of linguistic variable form and reprocess into a crisp form as a value decision. The results revealed that fuzzy rating can be implemented to measure the feasibility of learning media and students' responses to the use of learning media.
Dalam dunia teknologi telekomunikasi, khususnya antena Ultra-wideband (UWB) telah banyak digunakan untuk aplikasi telekomunikasi radio dan radar. Antena mikrostrip UWB memiliki beberapa keunggulan diantaranya memiliki dimensi relatif kecil, daya pancar yang rendah, dan mudah difabrikasi. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui optimasi kinerja antena mikrostrip dengan modifikasi patch dan ground plane untuk aplikasi UWB. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan komputasi elektromagnetik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, dengan desain patch berbentuk persegi panjang dengan potongan segitiga dan slot berbentuk L pada ground plane, sehingga didapatkan antena yang mampu bekerja pada frekuensi UWB. Antena mikrostrip UWB ini memiliki dimensi 28 mm x 32 mm x 1,6 mm dengan fabrikasi menggunakan bahan substrat FR-4 dengan konstanta dielektrik (εr) = 4.3. Hasil simulasi antena mikrostrip UWB dengan potongan segitiga dan L-slot pada ground plane menunjukkan bahwa antena tersebut dapat bekerja pada frekuensi UWB dari 2,83 GHz hingga 10,92 GHz. Nilai gain tertinggi dihasilkan pada frekuensi 9 GHz sebesar 4,29 dBi dengan polarisasi elips dengan jenis pola radiasi omnidirectional.Kata Kunci : Antena, UWB, Mikrostrip, Parsial Ground, Slot berbentuk L
Several studies indicated the low creative thinking skills of vocational high school students. The objective of this study is to describe the application of discovery learning models to improve the ability of the teachers to manage learning, student activities during the learning process, the student learning outcomes in terms of creative thinking skills, and the student responses to the learning activities. The research subjects were 35 students from the study program of Catering Food Service in a Public Vocational High School, SMK N 6 Surabaya. The lesson plan included the syllabus, learning implementation plans, student activity sheets, and assessment. Meanwhile, the data collection instruments included tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that discovery learning model could improve the teacher's ability to manage the learning, students’ activities, learning outcomes of creative thinking skills, and students’ responses.
