The frequency-phase characteristics of a coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube circuit have been calculated using the three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation code ARGUS. It is possible to determine the characteristics of the passbands by analysis of only half a cavity in three separate runs using different boundary conditions. Results show cavity mode frequencies calculated to within one-half percent of measured values. Additional capabilities desirable in a general cold testing code are described.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
