Inspired by the belief that Man’s power to change himself, that is, to learn, is perhaps the most impressive thing about him, the present study employs a library research with annotated bibliography to highlight the heutatgogical philosophy behind Vygotsky’s concept of Zone of Proximal Development. It is argued that the students’ learning progress results from the students’ personal experience, in which the students learn actively, establishing the students as the agents of learning. With this concept, it is believed that the students’ independent learning process can deliver them to the next level of their respective zone of potential development, from which process the zone of potential development will become the students’ zone of actual development, through which the students will enter their next zone of potential development, and so forth. This Heutatogical thinking is founded on the basic premise that (1) learning is centered and determined by the students, (2) the students’ capability in applying relevant skills in familiar and unfamiliar conditions, (3) the students’ reflective and metacognitive process, (4) multiple repetitions, and (5) non-linear learning. Learning process in Vygotsky’s concept Zone of Proximal Development can be applied in Heutatogical thinking through (1) the settlement of learning contract, (2) improving the learning activities, and (3) learning assessment with heutatogical deisgns, namely exploration, creation, collaboration, connection, sharing, and reflection. However, it is important to highlight in the implementation of this Vygotskian Heutogogical learning is that the students’ backgrounds and characteristics should be closely observed, with a close monitoring of the possible conflicts occurring during the learning process as they develop their sense of responsibility as they conduct their independent learning collaboratively, which might be novel for students accustomed with conventional learning.
This research was conducted in the northeastern slopes of Mount Agung in Karangasem regency, Bali province. The research area is dry land with land use patterns that have not demonstrated compliance with existing land potential. On the other hand, technological advances in the field of agriculture has been growing rapidly, one by analyzing the ability of the land to determine the potential of land resources and minimize the risk of failure of farmers. The results of the analysis of land capability is expected to serve as guidelines in a more optimal use of land in accordance with expectations. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of land and recommends referral based land use conditions existing land capability in the area of research. The design used is descriptive design, with the main objective to provide a picture or description of land use capability and suitability of the study area. Guidelines for land capability analysis in this study refers to Arsyad (2006) and the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 17 Year 2009 on Guidelines for Determining Environmental Carrying Capacity in Regional Spatial Planning. The results showed that 1) land capability class research in areas ranging from class III to class VI. Land capability class III is spread on the land unit 1, land unit 2, land unit 3,and land unit 8. Capability class IV land located on land unit 4, land unit 7, land unit 9, land unit 10 and land unit 12.Land capability classes VI located on land unit 5, land unit 6, and land unit 11; 2) land use suitability value obtained was 92.85%. This shows that almost the entire study area (92.85%) is in conformity between the ability of the land and its use. The rest (7.15%) classified as not appropriate. Suitability of the land use study area into the high criteria; 3) Referral land use adapted to the existing conditions of land units. In class III-IV land that does not meet the user or not used optimally, land use options to do that seasonal crops, plantation crops. While on a class VI land use that is not appropriate or not used optimally, land use options to do that forest production and non-agricultural land use.
Ideologies are contested through discourses; thus, textbooks can be a fertile ground for implanting the prevalence of women's marginalization in society, or they can also be used for deconstructing the ideology. The present study aims to provide a general map of how English as a foreign language reflects gendered stereotypes. The study was library research that used the results of previous studies to answer the research questions. Using George's method, the study chose thirty articles published in 2010 - 2021, then critically reviewed. The critical reading was continued with mapping the results of the studies, and their arguments on gender stereotypes included English as Foreign Language textbooks worldwide. The review revealed that there had been prevalent marginalization of women in English textbooks reflected through the depiction of women as less dominant, inferior than men, primarily domestic, generally weak, powerless, voiceless, and passive. Such male prevalence was also found in Indonesian EFL textbooks. Many previous studies admit that male prevalence and women marginalization in EFL textbooks reflect reality in society. Nevertheless, the present study takes the standpoint that calls for the utilization of textbooks to deconstruct gendered binary oppositions that marginalize women by deliberately designing textbooks that impart awareness about gender equity.
The objectives of this study were to (1) describe the structure of Kompas daily news texts about the profiteering of the names of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, (2) to explain the mental consciousness of journalists forming daily Kompas texts about profiteering the names of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and (3) to explain the social context influencing the formation of Kompas daily texts about the profiteering of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla. The method used in this research was qualitative research method. The data used in this research was news texts from Kompas daily newspaper, which reported about the case of profiteering of the name of Indonesian President and Vice President. Data collection method employed was literature study. The data in was analyzed with the orientation of analytic descriptive method. The results of data analysis showed that at the level of macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure, the global meaning of discourse developed in the news is about the settlement of cases of profiteering of the President and Vice President. The act of profiteering on the name of Indonesian President and Vice President was judged only to delegitimize the authority of the President and Vice President and state institutions. Meanwhile, the journalist's mental awareness that formed the Kompas daily news texts includes role schemes and event schemes. While the social context that influenced the formation of the discourse of naming consists of power and access. The ideology reflected in Kompas daily news texts is Pancasila.
Hydatidiform mole or molar pregnancy is a benign Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD) that originates from the placenta. Treatment consists of vacuum evacuation but rarely hysterectomy may be required. One common complication of molar pregnancy is hyperthyroid. Anesthetic management is often complicated by the associated systemic complications. These complications cannot be prevented, but with a better understanding of the disease, some measurements to avoid maternal mortality can be performed.
