Chemically stable , wide temperature range nematic liquid crystal mixtures with birefringence values up to almost 0 .3 are described . For applications where high ultra-violet stability is required a range of mixtures optirnised for this application have been developed. Chemically stable mixtures with a lc*i threshold voltage have also been developed and are compared with standard mixtures.(1)Depending on how the polymer matrix is formed, two generic types of the dispersed droplet devices have been described1, namely PDLC (polymer dispersed SPIE Vol. 1257 Liquid Crystal Displays aix/Applications (1990) / 37 Downloaded From: http://proceedings.spiedigitallibrary.org/ on 05/15/2015 Terms of Use: http://spiedl.org/terms
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
