The Language has a very important role in social life. With language, one can achieve its objectives in all areas, not least in the political sphere. In politics, the politics, especially the government (authorities) should not admit defeat. In other words, the political language is the language of victory, the language which ensures the wearer will never marginalized. Variety of political language used by the authorities and published in the mass media today, seem more political than highlight aspects provide a clear understanding of the community. Variety of political language is spoken government or ruler lot packed in a rather confusing vocabulary, figurative meaning is not denotative, making it difficult to be understood by the public. Meaning as an object of study semantic structure is not very clear, especially in the political language diversity. In addition, political problems in a variety of language many of them are camouflage. This will affect people's perceptions, both positive and negative. To find out the meaning of a variety of language used by the political authorities, the research was conducted. The purpose of this study was to answer the question: (1) what is the meaning of diverse political language used by the authorities, and (2) what is the intended use of the language diversity of political authority. To achieve these objectives, designed the research literature. The data source of this research is the Bali Post newspaper began from October to December 2015, includes the field of economy, law, and politics (government). The object of study is the meaning of political language diversity and the intended use of political language diversity. Data associated with a variety of political language documents collected by recording techniques. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The steps taken in analyzing the data is: (a) data reduction: choose words that are associated with a variety of political language that are the focus of this research; (b) the presentation of data: data obtained from the Bali Post newspaper presented in accordance with the data range of political language; and (c) drawing conclusions: inferred data related to the meaning of political language diversity and the intended use of the language diversity of political authority. The results showed that: (1) the meaning of diverse political language used by the authorities as an allegory, euphemism, suppression, and appeal. In addition, there are also combined figurative meaning and euphemism, and a combination of figurative meaning and emphasis. (2) the intended use of political language diversity is to vary the sentence, appreciate or respect, and emphasize or reinforce. Based on these results, suggestions put forward relating to the use of political language diversity is that the authorities (officials) use words or phrases that are simpler and understandable by the public.
AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menjawab permasalahan (1) miskonsepsi-miskonsepsi yang terdapat pada siswa tentang objek dan adverbial, (2) efektivitas strategi pengubahan konsepsi, (3) tingkat penguasaan siswa atas konsep-konsep objek dan adverbial, dan (4) komentar siswa tentang pendekatan konstruktivisme berbasis inkuiri dalam mempelajari konsep-konsep objek dan adverbial. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dirancang penelitian eksperimen dengan melibatkan dua kelas, yang masing-masing kelas dijadikan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pada tiap-tiap kelas diambil 22 siswa kelas VII SMP Lab Undiksha secara acak untuk dijadikan sampel. Data yang terkait dengan permasalahan di atas, dikumpulkan dengan tes dan kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif dan uji t. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme berbasis inkuiri lebih baik daripada model konvensional dalam mempelajari konsep-konsep objek dan adverbial. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan kepada guru agar menerapkan pendekatan tersebut sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia (khususnya dalam kalimat). Kata-kata kunci: konstruktivisme, inkuiri, objek, adverbial AbstractThe aim of this study was to find out (1) the students' misconceptions about object and adverbial, (2) the effectiveness of conception modification strategy, (3) the students' mastery of concepts of object and adverbial, and (4) the students' comments about constructivism approach based inquiry in learning concepts of object and adverbial. For this purpose an experiment was conducted at two classes were selected from each of the class as experiment and control classes. Twenty two students of class VII SMP Lab Undiksha of each of the two classes were selected as sample through random sampling. The data concerning the above problems were collected by a test and questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively and t-test. The result demonstrated that the students who were taught with constructivism approach based inquiry could learn the concepts of object and adverbial better than those who were taught with conventional model. Based on the result it can be suggested to the teachers to implement the approach as one of the alternatives in the teaching and learning of Indonesian (particularly in the teaching and learning of sentences).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan budaya literasi (baca-tulis) dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siawa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian koreleasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas XI IPA 4, XI IPA 6, XI IPA 10, dan XI IPS 1. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah teknik random sampling. Metode pengumpulan datadalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi satu predictor. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) budaya literasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai rata – rata budaya literasi 82,78. (2) hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 juga termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai rata – rata 78,78. (3) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara budaya literasi dengan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar dengan beta pisitif 0,843. Hal ini berarti semakin meningakat budaya literasi akan semakin meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia sebesar 0,843, sebaliknya jika budaya literasi semakin menurun maka hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia akan semakin menurun sebesar 0,843.
This study aimed at finding out the figures of speech used by the government in the political language variation and the purposes to which they serve. On the basis of the data analysis, it was found that there are sixteen types of figures of speech contained in the political language variation, for example, euphemism, repetition, parallelism, personification, parable, anticlimax, sarcasm, trope, hyperbole, pleonasm, climax, antithesis, synecdoche, anaphor, allusion, and metonymy. The purposes of their uses are to vary sentences, to show respect, to express something in a polite manner, and to give an emphasis or stress meanings. The suggestion made in relation to the uses of the figures of speech in political language variation is for the authority (government) to use words or phrases that are simple to make it easy for the people to understand.
In written communication, the sentences used by students tend to be less varied. The lack of variability appears in the types of sentences used in the essay, such as: the content of the sentence, the number of clauses, the predicate formers, and the nature of actor-action relationship. Based on this situation, the main objective of this study was to describe the types of sentences contained in the essay of grade VI students in the province of Bali. The data were collected through document recording method of 120 articles, each consisting of 3 paragraphs. The data collected were analyzed through Putrayasa analysis model. The results showed that there were 1035 sentences. All the sentences employed declarative sentences. The declarative sentences consist of 510 simple sentences, 520 compound sentences, and 5 sentences not including both; 876 included verbal sentences, 159 nominal sentences; 798 were classified as active and 237 passive sentences. Based on the results obtained, it is suggested to the students to pay attention always to the type of sentence in writing essay for the effectiveness of the ideas conveyed.
