Internet access through mobile devices is used increasingly. Data communications via Internet performed by mobile users need to kept in order offering better services especially for live streaming application such as VoIP. However, since the movement of users changes rapidly to their attachment points (AP), the handoff process needs to be taken into account. Several MIPv6 protocols have been proposed by IETF to solve the continuity communication of users. Users are supposed to be unaffected by this handoff mechanism. Those protocols are analyzed in term of the required time (delay) it takes when the handoff occurs. The results of delay of the handoff process are then compared with QoS for VoIP applications so as to obtain a better MIPv6 protocol that fulfills VoIP requirements. (Abstract)
Information systems are the result of rapidly emerging technological developments because human needs as information users of technology are very strong and rapid. Begin with the very rapid growth of computer technology, computers such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks and others are limited in scale. This small computer device must be connected to the Internet so that it can be used properly. And the information system plays its role as a provider of information that computer users want to access when the computer device is linked to the Internet. The information system developed in this paper is the Citizen Data Collection Information System, this system was created using the YII Framework. The YII framework uses the MVC method which makes it easier to develop a Citizen Data Collection Information System. With this Information System, information about the latest condition of the residents can be easily accessed. So that the Kelurahan, Kecamatan, RW, and RT will have the latest information about their residents and easily anticipate if needed. In the development of this system, it has staged such as literature study, observation, interviews, analysis, design, testing, and implementation. The conclusion is that this information system can carry out the desired function when it is implemented.
This study aims to facilitate the provision of information and reduce the amount of paper use in the Department of Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University. With the large amount of paper used to provide information on conventional e-mading, it causes too much paper to be wasted and not too effective in providing information. With the large amount of paper wasted also causes inefficient time. Because too much information and announcements reported to the Electronics Engineering Department cannot be managed by admin in the Department of Eletronics, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University. Therefore, for now there is a need for a digital madding to manage information and reduce the amount of paper usage. There are 2 methods used in this study are Data Collection Methods and System Development Methods. This Data Collection Method uses interview and observation techniques, while the System Development Method uses USDP. In this study using the USDP method, where this method can do an object-oriented software development, design and analysis of software design using the UML approach (Unifed Modeling Language)
Mobile IP (MIP) is a standard issued by the IETF to address the disconnection of communication between the mobile devices (MD) and the attachment points in the telecommunication networks such as mobile networks and wireless networks when the devices change their location. When users move, the connection of MD to an access point (AP) is disconnected before it is communicated to a new AP. Protocols for MIP have been developed such as MIPv6, FMIPv6, HMIPv6 and PMIPv6 as the latest protocol. In order to have seamless communication on PMIPv6, the proposed approach of using Detection Device (DD) and Synchronized Packet Simulcast (SPS).SPS is aimed to reduce packet loss on PMIPv6 and DD is used to shorten the time required by MD so as to find nMAG to be contacted. Hence, the MD's connection will not be terminated by the communication of LMA.
