The purpose of this research is to apply a learning using Augmented Reality media to develop submicroscopic representation ability. The method used is a classroom research on the fourth semester students of Chemistry Education department, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Information obtained by measuring students’ activities during learning, completion of worksheet, and submicroscopic representation ability after learning. The results obtained from the worksheet completion are included in the very good category (with an average of 86), with the highest ability shown in the determination of bonding domains and non-bonding domains based on Lewis structure (with an average of 94). Moreover, the results of submicroscopic representation ability tests after learning are included in the very good category (with an average of 81.5), with the highest ability shown in the determination of bonding domains and non-bonding domains based on Lewis structure (with an average of 92). This is because students discuss and collaborate very well and are supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media. Thus, Augmented Reality (AR) media can be used as one of media in developing students’ submicroscopic representation ability on molecular geometry material. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the meaning of Indonesian culinary, Pecel. Joko Widodo, Hatta Rajasa, Sandiaga Uno, Ganjar Pranowo, Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Sukarwo ate this local delicacy in their politics activities covered by the mass media. Data was collected through online news, textbooks and other references related to this research. Through semiotics analysis, eating pecel by political figures in Indonesia not only completes their basic needs. This vegetables based dish, has a deep meaning when it is examined from the history and culture of Indonesia. Pecel symbolizes simplicity, be close to the people, that can make Indonesian politicians considered humble. Pecel also symbolize spirituality. This typical Indonesian culinary has strong Javanese cultural roots. Its history mentioned in the famous ancient manuscript, Babad Tanah Jawi and Serat Centhini.
There is convincing evidence of the potential advantages of peer assessment; however, earlier studies on peer assessment in the learning process have largely focused on students’ views on it. Although much can be inferred from the students’ views about peer assessment in the learning process, there is a limited empirical study on the practical use of peer assessment by teachers and their responses. This study attempts to offer salient information for educational institutions, especially on the importance of peer assessment as a part of their instructional design for novice EFL teachers. This qualitative study aims to investigate Indonesian novice EFL teachers’ perceptions of the use of peer assessment in a speaking class as well as its’ benefits and challenges. The data was obtained from six Indonesian novice EFL teachers through a semi-structured interview. Findings revealed the two groups of teachers’ different perceptions, benefits, and challenges of peer assessment which were affected by their understanding of peer assessment and undergraduate study experiences. Hence, educational institutions for pre-service EFL teachers should take peer assessment into account to be integrated into their instructional designs to enable them to experience and perceive peer assessment as a valuable alternative way of language assessment.
This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of workload and work stress through the mediating variable of job satisfaction on the performance of PNM Mekaar Area Batang 2 employees. Respondents in the study were all employees of PNM Mekaar Area Batang 2 involving 100 employees. The data analysis technique used is PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model). The data processing of this research uses the SmartPLS 3.0 tool. This study shows that workload has an effect on employee job satisfaction with a P-Value value of (0.029) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.296). Job stress has an effect on employee job satisfaction with a P-Value value of (0.010) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.358). Job satisfaction has an effect on employee performance with a P-Value value of (0.001) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.334). The workload has no effect on employee performance with a P-Value value of (0.361) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.150). Job stress has no effect on employee performance with a P-Value value of (0.103) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.290). Workload has no effect on employee performance which is mediated by job satisfaction with a P-Value value of (0.082) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.099). And work stress has an effect on employee performance which is mediated by job satisfaction with a P-Value value of (0.047) and a Path Coefficient value of (0.120).
