Ni thin films alloyed with 232 Th are obtained using electroless bath deposition by optimization of solution composition and deposition temperature. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicate a fairly homogenous distribution of 232 Th, with considerable amounts of incorporated oxygen. TEM confirms the presence of crystalline films with low concentrations of nickel phosphide precipitates for both non-alloyed Ni and Ni─Th films.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
