In this study, a new design of self-desalination seawater device by applying solar thermal energy has been proposed and characterized. Investigations were conducted to determine whether the fabricated device able desalinate saltwater efficiently. A custom-designed reflector with fixed and adjustable angle configurations was also included and both will be evaluated in terms of performance. The temperature, salinity, and conductivity of the saltwater during the desalination process were measured and compared from 9 am to 3 pm. The temperature averagely increases 20.5°C for 6 hours exposure. A device with an adjustable reflector able to confine the highest temperature which is up to 58°C. It was also shown that the heat energy grows proportionally with increasing temperature. A device with reflector shown able to confine the maximum heat energy which is 131.51 kJ which is 51.75% higher than without reflector. As a result, the latent heat required to convert salt water to steam decreased from 3.591 kJ/kg to 3.538 kJ/kg. In this regard, the fabricated device able to reduce the seawater salinity from 7651ppm to 123ppm, which a substantial 98 percent reduction. This result indicates that the proposed device with adjustable reflector can desalinate and convert saline water into safe drinking water.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi hasil uji kompetensi teori kejuruan terhadap hasil uji kompetensi praktik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif korelasional dengan subjek penelitian 123 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan hasil uji kompetensi teori kejuruan terhadap hasil uji kompetensi praktik kejuruan. Selain itu, diperoleh hasil analisis relevansi materi uji kompetensi teori kejuruan terhadap hasil uji kompetensi praktik kejuruan sebesar 70% dalam ketegori relevan.
The achievement of educational goals depends on the learning process in schools. When in teaching and learning activities, educators still use the lecture style related to the material in the book (teacher centered), students tend to be less active and participate less in the teaching and learning process. The lack of formation of a pleasant teaching and learning process results in students not having good concentration and focus. So that resulted in less than optimal ability of students in understanding the subject matter. This research aims to explain the effect of ice breaking on student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental nature. This research design uses a one-group pre-test-post-test design, and uses 21 students as samples drawn by a saturated sampling technique from the entire population. The instrument used is in the form of a test with the aim of obtaining data on student learning outcomes. The results of the research show that the mean score of students in the pre-test is 65, while the mean value of the post-test is 76. This shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after being given treatment by 11. To test the impact of applying ice breaking, data analysis was carried out by t test (paired sample t test) obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, there is an effect of ice breaking on student learning outcomes in class II thematic learning at SD Negeri Pusakajaya Utara I-Cilebar District-Karawang Regency in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year.
