This study conducted a study of the rhetorical text of Habib Rizieq Shihab's (HRS) speech at the 212 Grand Reunion in 2019. This research was trying to map the elements of rhetorical motive construction through Burke's Pentadic analysis. However, this research also found gaps in political propaganda by figures and religious groups' leaders with Propaganda Theory. This interpretive research includes five contents of the HRS speech. This study's main conclusion shows that the rhetorical motive is aimed at agent and agency elements that show gaps in political propaganda in mass mobilization nationally and sympathy for HRS religious leaders and acceptance of ideas and ideas in agency elements apolitical political emotions.
This article aims to offer a conceptual study of the impacts of adjusting news writing that follow the presentation criteria and information distribution of LINE Today news aggregator. Through a literature review of various studies to obtain the relevant data on the impact of news aggregators on journalism and qualitative meta-synthesis to map out the concept networks from previous researches then synthesized to answer the research questions. This article provides a number of conceptualizations for further study development. This article addresses the impact of LINE Today news aggregators and the current conceptualization of the digital journalism industry based on three perspectives, namely: news presentation and reader preferences, newsroom & gatekeeping process; digital journalism industry practice and news aggregator.
Digital journalism in Indonesia is placing the speed of news presentation and distribution as a significant factor for the audience or news readers. The presence of news aggregators such as LINE Today are considered to be able to present news with actual issues and curated topics and also filter news to attain quality content. However, based on previous research, there are still several issues regarding news aggregators such as being repetitive, biased, and producing irrelevant news. This research aims to offer development ideas through the concept of slow technology by placing humans amid technology to fill academic debates regarding the shortcomings of news presentation from news aggregators. This study uses a constructivism paradigm with a case study research strategy and a single-case design. Research analysis uses a pattern-matching model to involve a comparison of predicted patterns and effects with those that have been observed empirically and identified. The results show that there is a potential for developing news aggregators based on the integration of roles among stakeholders, by introducing awareness of balance between the increasing speed of information and communication technology and the more limited speed of personal information processing. This research fills gaps on issues and problems that news aggregators often encounter to provide constructive solutions through the potential of ICT design that reflects human values, such as trust, integrity, and honesty.
In this study, Turbo expander (TE) and Model Predictive Control (MPC) is suggested for depropanizer unit to increase propane recovery and improve control performance of the unit. The model that used in the MPC is a first order plus dead time (FOPDT), which tested the control performance using set point (SP) and disturbance change test. The measurement of the performance is the integral of the absolute error (IAE). As a result, use of TE in the depropanizer able to increase the recovery of propane of 8.44% (from 82.11% to 90.55%). The control structure of the depropanizer unit using turbo expander are pressure control for the TE (using proportional-integral control), composition control in the distillate flow (using MPC), and pressure control in depropanizer column (using MPC). The control performance after carrying out the tests show that at the SP change, the composition control and the pressure control in depropanizer unit has lower IAE values for MPC than PI contoller. Similarly when tested using disturbance rejection, the IAE of MPC is lower than PI controller. It means that MPC is better than PI controller for composition control and pressure control in depropanizer unit.
