Students are now known as the second generation digital native who is very familiar with social media. This generation was born and grew as social media became more established. Massive use in addition to generational characteristics, the COVID-19 pandemic has become an alternative to various purposes in using social media. Excessive use of social media can have an impact on social media addiction. Previous research has shown a lot to do with social media use and addiction to social media. This study uses literature review with a conceptual analysis approach from various sources. By disclosing indicators that can cause students to become addicted to social media. Social media addiction has an impact on personal and intra-personal conflicts. Disturbed sleep patterns, decreased academic achievement, depression, stress, anxiety, loneliness, and self-esteem are all conflict causes for social media addiction. This study opens a gap for further research to reveal the relationship between indicators of the causes of social media addiction with the role of parents, peer influence, and stakeholder policies in preventing social media addiction.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Rattan is a handicraft woven craft of the community which in its manufacture is still very simple and is often identified with things that are hereditary. Likewise, the recording and bookkeeping carried out by each transaction still uses traditional methods and does not separate costs between main products and byproducts, so the owner has difficulty in determining the profitability of each product. With the problems found, it is necessary to provide community service with training and mentoring using the method of calculating the cost of joint and side products. This service is important in the hope that there will be an increase in knowledge about joint cost calculations in order to determine which products are more profitable so that managers can formulate strategic policies.
The purpose of this study was to find out how the perceptions of Accounting and Science education students at Muhammadiyah Riau University towards Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).The research method used is a quantitative method and is based on a survey. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews with 70 people. The questionnaire was developed by including part of the idea of education for sustainable development into each item, which was assessed on a five-point Likert scale. The sampling method uses stratified random sampling and the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples. Students' perceptions of socio-cultural aspects scored 85.07% (very good), environmental aspects scored 81.71% (very good), and economic aspects scored 82.62% (very good).The results of the study found that Accounting and Science Education students at Muhammadiyah University of Riau on Education for Sustainable Development/ESD got a score of 83.13%. This can be seen in the behavior of students who have started to bring their own drinking bottles, some students have also started using eco-friendly straws, carrying out environmental activities such as planting trees, student participation in campus decision making, and so on. This activity helps the implementation of Ecocampus which enables institutions to contribute to meeting sustainable development goals at the same time.
Program kerja Pelatihan dan Pembuatan Jamu Herbal oleh KKN UMRI kepada Masyarakat Desa Koto Benai, Kecamatan Benai dengan memanfaatkan tanaman-tanaman herbal yang ada di sekitaran rumah warga atau biasa disebut sebagai “toga”. Hal ini dilakukan guna untuk menyampaikan sosialisasi bagaimana cara pembuatan jamu herbal kepada Warga desa Koto benai tersebut. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat sekali bagi warga setempat, karena dapat meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh dan menjaga imun. mayoritas warganya juga petani, jadi tanaman-tanaman herbal pun tidak susah di cari. Bahan utama dari pembuatan jamu yaitu seperti Kunyit, Jahe, Kencur, dan Temulawak. Tujuan diadakan Kegiatan ini yaitu untuk memberikan pemahaman dan ide usaha kepada masyarakat sebagai salah satu pekerjaan sampingan, sekaligus menjelaskan segala fungsi dari tanaman-tanaman herbal yang mereka tanam di halaman rumah warga. Hasil dari kegiatan ini juga yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat desa koto benai dalam proses pembuatan jamu herbal yang bahan-bahannya sendiri ada dilingkungan sekitarnya.
