In this word, we investigate a sensor-based photonic crystal fiber with a cladding region composed of four layers of air holes with circular geometry. Two of these holes were filled with hemoglobin. The dispersion behavior was reported numerically, and the proposed PCF was found to exhibit highly sensitive behavior at a wavelength of 1.2µm. Our findings suggest that this PCF shows promising potential for use in blood sensing applications, and may be particularly useful for detecting malaria.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
