In this paper, we will consider the Slutsky equation for the function of demand for goods depending on the prices of these goods and the consumer’s income, taking into account compensation. The practical application of this one-factor model for calculating the demand of two interchangeable goods and the economic interpretation of the results obtained are also given. The work will be useful to those who wish to familiarize themselves with the Slutsky model for demand and consider its use in practice.
