Introduction: Because of the fact that detailed data on the physiological characteristics of Pencak Silat are still limited. The primary purpose of this study to assess the physiological responses of Pencak Silat athletes and a secondary aim is to compare the physiological responses of Pencak Silat athletes with physiological responses of Taekwondo athletes. Material and Methods: This study has included 17 male junior martial art athletes (aged 15–16 years). This study requires all participants to completed one familiarization session and two experimental sessions. During the first session (laboratory condition), anthropometry was measured in the laboratory, and during the second session (on-court condition), the participants completed tests for anaerobic capacity (sprint test 60-m, vertical jump, push-ups, and sit-ups) and VO2max test. Results: The statistical analysis revealed no significant differences in anthropometry, vertical-jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and 60-m sprint results among TKD and PKS groups. Furthermore, the TKD group had significantly higher VO2max (p=0.015), when compared with the PKS group. Conclusion: The present investigation describes similar physiological characterizes, such as weight, height, BMI, BMR, body fat and also performances of vertical jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and 60-m sprint tests among Taekwondo and Pencak Silat athletes. However, in comparison with junior Pencak Silat athletes, the junior Taekwondo athletes have better VO2max.
Aktivitas fisik dan gaya hidup sangat penting untuk kesehatan, karena kebiasaan aktivitas fisik dan gaya hidup yang sehat akan berdampak kepada perkembangan fisik anak. Aktivitas fisik dan gaya hidup anak harus diperhatikan sejak dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat aktivitas fisik siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan melibatkan 48 siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas 5, dengan rata-rata usia 11 tahun. Tingkat aktivitas fisik didapatkan dari hasil pengolahan kuesioner IPAQ (International Physical Activity Quessionare). Sebelum melakukan pengisian kuesioner, para responden mendapatkan penjelasan mengenai pertanyaan yang ada dalam kuesioner tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata responden berusia 11.2 (± 1.01) tahun, tinggi badan 155.1cm (± 3.1), berat badan 38.5kg (± 6.5). Tingkat aktivitas fisik dirata-ratakan masuk dalam kategori rendah, atau dengan angka 502.2(±24.3) METs.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang kompetisi guru SD, SMP, SMA/SMK se-Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Tentang kompetisi Pedagogik, Keperibadian, Sosial, dan Profesional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Deskriptif Kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan memalui wawancara, pengamatan, dokumentasi, dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa (1) Profil guru penjas bertugas di Kabupaten Lampung Barat dari faktor usia relatif tua, masa tugas cukup lama, (2) Aspek Kompetisi pedagogik guru penjas sudah menjalankan dengan sesuai karena sebagian besar sudah mendapatkan PNS dan berstatus sertifikasi, (3) Aspek Kompetisi Kepribadian memiliki prilaku yang dapat di teladani dan dicontoh, (4) secara kompetisi sosial guru penjas mampu berkomunikasi dengan efektif ke beberapa pihak baik di sekolah ataupun pada lingkungan sekitar tempat tinggal, (5) secara kompetisi profesional guru penjas mampu meningkatkan kemampuan individu dengan mengikuti PLPG dan PPG serrta penataran yang dilaksanakan di provinsi maupun nasional.
Abstrak_________________________________________________________ Mengingat pentingnya konektivitas kondisi istirahat sebagai parameter fungsi otak. sejauh ini belum ada ulasan yang mencoba mengukur manfaat kesehatan yang lebih luas dari kelompok berjalan dibandingkan dengan kelompok yang tidak aktif terhadap antisipasi reaksi. Oleh karena itu, ulasan ini dilakukan untuk memahami apakah ada bukti bahwa kelompok berjalan memiliki manfaat yang lebih besar bagi kelompok lansia. Desain dalam penitian ini menggunakan ekperiment dengan pendekatan ex post pacto. Subjek berjumlah 33 lansia dengan usia rata-rata (62.1 ± 2.1 tahun), tinggi (152 ± 2.1 cm), berat badan (53.4 ± 5.7 kg), BMI (23.1 ± 2.5 %). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa olahraga jalan kaki memiliki skor antisipasi reaksi yang lebih tinggi (101.4 ± 12.9) dibandingkan dengan yang tidak aktif melakukan aktivitas fisik (84.7 ± 16.3). usia lansia diharapkan selalu meningkatkan latihan fisik (aktivitas fisik), seperti jalan kaki, sehingga kemampuan antisipasi reaksi dapat dihambat penurunannya. Therefore, this review is carried out to understand whether there is evidence that the walking group has greater benefits for the elderly group. The design in this research used an experiment with an ex post pacto approach. There were 33 subjects with an average age (62.1 ± 2.1 years), height (152 ± 2.1 cm), weight (53.4 ± 5.7 kg), BMI (23.1 ± 2.5%). The results showed that walking had a higher anticipation reaction score (101.4 ± 12.9) compared to those who were not actively doing physical activity (84.7 ± 16.3). Elderly age is expected to always increase physical exercise (physical activity), such as walking, so that the ability to anticipate reactions can be inhibited.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of exercise on aerobic capacity and hematological profile of amateur futsal athletes at two public sport venues having the same climatic characteristics with different air pollution concentrations. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only crossover design approach. Subjects of the study were 15 futsal athletes from futsal clubs in Bandung city. The mean (SD) of age, weight, height, and BMI of the participants were 18.73 ± 1.7 years, 55.29 ± 3.0 Kg, 165.90 ± 2.6 cm, and 19.90 ± 0.8 Kg/m2. The results of this study indicated that a high amount of air pollution could significantly inhibit the increase of VO2max (p = 0.043) and hemoglobin (p = 0.023) and could significantly increase white blood cells (p = 0.042 leukocytes). The findings of this study provide an evidence that air pollution can have a negative effect on the hematological profile of futsal athletes. Thus, the athlete and coach should consider the level of air pollution around the venue before doing the exercise. It should be anticipated because, basically, exercising can increase the rate of air ventilation in the respiratory system so that it can cause air pollution, such as PM2.5 and PM10, entering the lungs and even the alveoli.
