the paper briefly describes the specifics of precision agriculture from the point of view of data needs and the possibility of providing such data. It points to the most convenient and efficient form of collecting the necessary data using drones. Specific drone characteristics are recorded/discussed in order to facilitate selecting the right one according to the farmers' heterogeneous requirements regarding the data collection on their crops. Selecting the appropriate drone for the specific needs of farmers is carried out by a multi-criteria decision-making software.
Contemporary modern innovations in information and communication technologies (ICT) on the one hand foster the development of operation processes and marketing of products and services in organizations, and, on the other, provide a model for using information technology, which reduces the initial investment in IT and moderate the operational cost of ICT. Universities and colleges are organizations that offer services and are interested in the benefits of contemporary ICT. The paper includes a proposal of a possible and applicable ICT Ecosystem model in tertiary education.
The development of computer architecture seems to have halted in the past 15 years compared to the earlier times of the computer era. There is an obvious trend of miniaturization, significantly increased processing speed, however, there are no significant novelties in either architecture or operation. This paper offers a short overview of computer development over the generations, as well as the new usage models that have arisen since the deceleration of the development in architecture. Further, this work presents the various fields where new advancements of computer architecture, operation and ICT in general are expected in the foreseeable future.
