In this paper, a compact CPW-fed antenna for 2.45 GHz band WLAN applications is presented. The proposed antenna which has a geometry of folded stub and slot is fabricated into an inexpensive FR-4 substrate that has a dielectric constant of 4.2 and a thickness of 1.0 mm with optimized parameters obtained by simulation, and then measured. From measured result, we confirmed available operation as antenna for WLAN applications by obtaining the return loss level of < -10 dB in the frequency band of 2.4-2.484 GHz.
In this paper, the compact antenna with three folded patches for use in a number of bands of LTE, WCDMA, US-PCS, and WLAN at the same time is proposed. As the changes in widths of the 3 patches to widen the insufficient bandwidth are given, it is optimized for S 11 < -6 dB(VSWR<3). The CPW with a number of advantages is used in the proposed antenna. The proposed antenna is designed and fabricated with FR4 substrate to the size of 44.9 × 35 × 1 mm 3 . Fabricated antenna has within S 11 <-6 dB under operating bands. And measured characteristics of radiation patterns and gains are shown under operating bands.
In this paper, the compact CPW-fed antenna with triple folded patch for dual-band WLAN applications is proposed. As the conventional double inverted-L antenna is changed into the C-shaped patch and double inverted-L antenna, the antenna overcomes the narrow-band characteristics according to the miniaturization of the antenna. The proposed antenna with the size of only 16.5 mm×29.5 mm×1.0 mm is designed and fabricated by optimized parameters to be operated at 2.4 GHz band and 5 GHz band. The antenna is fabricated into FR-4 substrate with thickness of 1.0 mm. We confirm that it is operated as antenna for WLAN applications by obtaining the measured return loss level of < -10 dB at dual-band.
