AbstractCompletion Design is a key factor, especially in Gas field management, and completion design can have a large affect on gas deliverability and the liquid production through out the lifetime of a well. This paper describes a novel solution to producing gas from multi layered gas intervals, such as encountered in VICO Indonesia's operating area in East Kalimantan. The paper is focused on a completion in the Semberah Field, which utilises a novel combination of both conventional and monobore completion types. Essentially having a selective single string completion dedicated to producing the shallower reserves, whilst following a monobore concept for the second string to deplete deeper reserves.
